Between year 2 and 3 you can opt to undertake the Diploma in Professional Studies or the Diploma in Creative Computing. Whilst these Diplomas are an optional aspect of the course, they are designed as an integrated and assessed part of your journey through the course. To be encouraged to proactively engage with communities within and outside of the art school to build sustainable and ethical working relationships. An introduction to possible national and international progression routes. To present work in the degree show, a multi-platform public-facing display of work. To produce a piece of research that can be produced either in written form, by presentation or through a live project/work placement.

Based on the responsibilities, photographers are expected to have solid photography knowledge and skills in management and communication. At TAFE NSW, our Photography Courses are run by industry experts, who will teach you a combination of technical skills and creative photography techniques to further develop your portfolio and individual style. Masters of Photography is an education platform and a resource for photographers. Our courses are for anyone who wants to learn from some of the most highly regarded and influential photographers in the world in order to elevate their own photography. Develop your photography with the world-renowned photographer whose famous Afghan Girl portrait is one of the most iconic portraits ever captured. Steve gives us a unique insight into how he creates his images and covers a broad range of subjects including landscape, street and portrait photography. Join him in the studio and on location and learn all the tips and tricks he uses in creating his famous portrait, fashion, landscape and still life images.

At SCAD, you’ll frame your own distinct point of view, learning the full spectrum of photography — historic and analog processes through modern and next-generation digital technologies — on the way to launching your creative career. You’ll also have the chance to bolster your photography skills by exploring related creative fields like advertising or graphic design. All your creative work will be supported by academic staff working at the forefront of photographic research and innovation who have years of professional experience. This informs the design and delivery of our BA Photography course, allowing us to respond to innovation in the sector, facilitate exciting industry-led projects, and speaker presentations. Our students are part of the organising committee for our Annual Public Photography Lectures which bring high-profile British and international photographers to ARU. Previous talks have featured Donna Ferrato, Laura Pannack, Anthony Luvera, Tom Hunter, Jane Hilton, Tim Flach and Hannah Starkey.

This category actively encourages the creative use of the medium of Photography News in all its forms, from photograms to cutting-edge photographic techniques. Subject matter can be varied and may include abstract and conceptual ideas, but a creative concept and thematic link between the images is key. In a way, every technical choice is really an artistic choice in disguise.

If you have been out of education for 3 years or more and have a grade C GCSE in English Language or equivalent, you are eligible for our entry scheme for mature learners. It’s a scheme that recognises non-traditional entry qualifications and experience for entry onto this course. On each module you will receive ongoing feedback on your work from staff and fellow students. This will help you reflect and refine your work before your final submission or exhibition at the end of the module.
